"Paraya" Launch - A Different Kind of #CryptoFriday

Last week, CryptoFriday participants found themselves at a #CryptoFriday that was a bit different from what they’re used to. The reason? The launch of the brand-new digital platform, Paraya, had been brought to Altcointurk Base and #CryptoFriday.

Paraya.io, with its slogan “Everything about money,” is a fresh platform created by a young team experienced in the worlds of economy, finance, and Web3 publishing. The platform aims to cover not just cryptocurrencies but also digital assets, financial technologies, and their intersections.

Founded in 2025, the platform held its launch last Friday evening at Altcointurk Base, with support from KuCoin TR. Choosing to launch during CryptoFriday, a long-standing, regular community event, instead of in a hotel conference room, seemed like a great choice to me. It signaled that both the platform and the launch had a manifesto of being open, accessible, and intertwined with the community.

It’s fair to say it was one of the most crowded, lively, and warm CryptoFridays in recent times. Every detail, from the refreshments to the service and the specially prepared “photo booth,” was thoughtfully planned.

With over 100 participants, including names like Erkan Öz, Cemil Şinasi Türün, Kemal Hiçyılmaz, Ekin Albayrak, and SPL-1, the founding team, Esra Kahraman, Ali Tunç, and Canku Yaslak, shared their thoughts on why they created Paraya and the publishing direction they aim for.

The team dreams of a platform that guides end users and investors in the increasingly intertwined worlds of finance and technology, helping to reduce misinformation and contribute to financial literacy.

This approach and motto naturally got me thinking about the Web3 ecosystem we’re in. Built on values like decentralization, independent content creators, and community-focused information sharing, this ecosystem has, over time, largely turned into a “paid marketing” space, bringing with it issues like the production and consumption of a lot of misleading content.

The misinformation, which was assumed to be naturally filtered out, has practically discouraged end users and investors significantly.

At this point, platforms like Paraya, which draw from communities and aim to engage with both content and project creators within the ecosystem, may appear centralized but seem to address a real need for clean and organized content within the ecosystem.

I want to wish the Paraya team success once again as they embark on this journey with a great motto and intention; may their path be clear.

I also want to thank KuCoin TR, Hazal Güngördü, Kerem Ayiş, and Canberk ZARBAK for their contributions to this launch and CryptoFriday, as well as Volkan KORKMAZ and İsmail KUCUR for hosting the event.

For those new to the newsletter or unfamiliar with CryptoFriday, here’s its story for the curious:
