Is Summer Really Over?

Hello to everyone after a short break.

Hello to everyone after a short break.

I spent August taking a bit of a breather and thinking about what and how I want to write in the next season.

It wasn’t just me taking it easy; the whole ecosystem seemed pretty quiet in August. There were only a few events and developments, really.

But now, with September here, things are picking up again, and Istanbul is right at the heart of it all.

This week, there’s the ETH Istanbul Conference and Hackathon, followed by Builder’s Week, bringing developers from all over the world back to Istanbul. So, the newsletter’s new season is kicking off just as the ecosystem is coming back from its summer break.

In August, I also took a look back at what I’ve written so far, mostly starting with the basics of Web3, covering everything from DeFi to NFTs to DAOs, and touching on the fundamental aspects of this ecosystem and its origin story.

Of course, I’ve also talked about where this brave new world might intersect with the corporate/traditional business world. I tried to go beyond just the technical stuff and delve into the philosophy behind it all.

Honestly, the first season felt a bit like an improvisation, a period of exploration, for both me and the readers.

But this season, I want to plan the articles a bit more in advance and focus on:

👉 The questions posed by corporations, organizations, and the business world,

👉 How Web3 changes not just technology, but business models and ways of thinking,

👉 And at the same time, solutions that touch daily life and make it easier.

For me, this newsletter isn’t just a platform to talk about Web3 technology.

As I’ve mentioned in my writings, the world of Bitcoin, blockchain, and Web3 has its own unique way of working and a manifesto.

The traditional business world, too, changes, evolves, and progresses for various reasons. The pandemic was one example. We learned the value of being physically together, but also saw that remote work is possible. So, my main goal is to bring together my experiences from the traditional business world with Web3 culture, to build bridges between these two worlds that seem so different.

And honestly, this isn’t a journey I want to take alone.

What questions do you think we should focus on in the new season?

I’m looking forward to your thoughts, questions, and suggestions about what you’re curious about, what you want to ask, and what you’d like to read.
